Recently I was invited to attend a fabulous tea event with the Tankards. And just who are the Tankards, you ask? They’re the larger-than-life family on Bravo TV’s hit show Thicker Than Water. The series chronicles the family dynamic of the Tankard clan; former professional basketball player and an American gospel-jazz instrumentalist Ben Tankard, wife Jewel and their children Marcus, Brooklyn, Britney, Benji, and Cyrene. Audiences get a glimpse into the lives of the self-proclaimed “Black Brady Bunch” as the Tankards share their struggles, triumphs and unpredictable adventures all while showing us that strength is rooted in faith and family.
The private press luncheon and tea was held at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, and kicked off the newest season Thicker Than Water. The event featured several of the show’s cast members, Jewel Tankard, Brooklyn Tankard, Latisha Tankard and Shanira Tankard who sipped, socialized, and shared in intimate conversations with guests while enjoying a classic tea party experience. Hey, I absolutely love a glam gathering with fabulous women… over tea and a few bites of course! 😉
