The Carol’s Daughter store in Lenox Square Mall hosted an event introducing their wonderful new “Monoi Repairing” product line. The hugely popular brand invited local hair salon Like The River: The Salon, which showcases and uses the hair care line on their clients, to come and showcase some styles and to give one lucky winner a great salon service. The team of Lamik Cosmetics, an all natural cosmetics company was also on hand doing mini makeovers with some of their fantastic products while DJ PrincessCut provided music for the event.

In addition to the great atmosphere of their beautiful Lenox Square store, they were also serving up the very well known, and well loved Cami Cakes cupcakes, and a signature drink for customers presented by Ultimat Vodka.

Now, back to Carol’s Daughter. Their new collection consists of three different items, the Sulfate Free Shampoo, the Repairing Conditioner, and the Repairing Hair Mask. The products contain bamboo water which helps to prevent damage already done to the hair or to help prevent any damage. For any of you ladies that may have color treated hair this is a great collection to help prevent any breakage.

Make sure you stop by the Carol’s Daughter store in Lenox Mall to pick yours up and treat your tresses to something fabulous!

It’s Christmas time Madea style

Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas

Tyler Perry is back on the circuit with his latest installment of his uber-popular character Madea, as she brings in the Christmas spirit as only she can.

The stage play, A Madea Christmas,  is running from May 13th-14th at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta and promises to deliver.

Believe it or not, this is my first Tyler Perry stage play. A BIG shocker, right? It’s true. I’m a huge fan of his movies and DVD’s so I guess that makes up for it to some degree. 😀 Although I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing any of his plays in person, Mr. Perry can be assured that I will be in attendance at his next….front row!

The play showcased a new lineup of characters along with Tyler’s veteran cast of actors from his hit movies and TV sitcoms. The incomparable Mr. Brown (David Mann), and the lovely Cora (Tamela Mann) were both in rare form as they delivered their signature back-and-forth banter. Of course with this lineup of characters you know that the play was chock-full of laughs and surprises. But, the biggest surprise was delivered by Tyler when he announced that the show was being taped for DVD release. Yippee!!!

So look for it soon, and, if you see me in the midst of the packed house be sure to let me know….a girl can dream can’t she!?.

Sweet treats for all at the candy bar
Nikka Shae and Teyana Taylor

Nikka Shae and Teyana Taylor....FAB!!!

Last month the GlamBar rolled out the “pink” carpet and got all glammed up; literally. Teyana Taylor hosted the event that had Peters St. jumping!

D. Woods, Sean Garrett, Elite, and Mika Means were just some of the celebs that came out to show Sabrina, the salon owner, and the rest of her team some love.

When I walked into the GlamBar I was in total awe and amazement, and right within my element. I instantly felt like a kid in a candy store. Maybe it was because of the delicious candy displays set up all over the place… or maybe it was the pink floors which reminded me of bubble gum. Either way, a sugar rush was definitely headed my way…and fast! The ambiance was very fun and girlie; it was definitely a place to relax and have a good time. Did I say “relax” and “good time” in the same sentence as if there was such a thing? Well at the GlamBar there is!

X-Rated Fusion cocktails

X-Rated Fusion cocktails

Oh, let’s not forget about X-Rated Fusion who provided the cocktails for all the esteemed guests. So if you are ever in the Art District of Castleberry Hills in Atlanta you should check out the GlamBar. And, don’t be surprised if you see me there!

When I arrived at Saks I was greeted with music by a DJ, lite bites to nibble on, bubbly champagne, and cookies shaped like fabulous shoes by the artisans at Cookie Creations of Atlanta.

And last but not least a talented sketch artist captured highlights of the event in colored-pencil.

One word....Scrumptious!

The fashion show was the highlight of the event which featured models dressed in beautiful chic designs while strutting the runway in the exclusive Manolo Blahnik heels.

I also had the opportunity to meet and chat with the Shoe Department Manager in Saks who explained to me how the Manolo Blahnik Chinchilla Pump was created and how exited they were to have this line in their stores.

Ok all you shoe fanatics, stop by Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead to get a little slice of shoe heaven; and tell em Nikka Shae sent ya! (I’ve always wanted to say that :D)

Say “Hello” to your shoe fetish

Hello Stiletto Shoe Club

Believe it or not, this was my very first shoe event…and was a memorable one! Hello Stiletto is a shoe club that meets monthly at various hot-spots in and around Atlanta. This particular event was held at the ultra swanky Ecco restaurant located in the heart of Midtown in Atlanta. The setting was ripe for a great event which included signature appetizers, wine, and a DJ to keep the crowd moving.

The Atlanta Chapter of the Hello Stiletto Shoe Club, which is headed by sisters Melissa (President) and Amanda (Co-President), hosts some of the swankiest shoe events in town where fab ladies, who share the same passion for shoes, all come out to strut their stuff on the “pink” runway. The ladies all sashay down the runway for a chance to win the coveted award for the fanciest heels in the house.

Your girl (Me of course), had on my fun, flirty, creative, fruity tutti, Betsey Johnson shoes which were a hit with the ladies! I didn’t win the “best in shoe” prize (awwww), but I did come in third place at the event. Unfortunately there wasn’t any prize for third place. So you know me…I couldn’t miss out on grabbing a little shine (as a consolation prize of sorts), so I just took the opportunity to show off a little for the camera…click…click…twirl…twirl…
