“Bey Bowl 2013”: Get ready for THE Super Bowl performance ‘of all time!’

Make no mistake about it… Beyonce’s Super Bowl XLVII performance will by far be THE BIGGEST halftime performance show to date. And because of all the fever surrounding this years’ halftime show I’m gonna dub it “Bey Bowl 2013”. There is no doubt that the “Queen B(ey)” of music will rock the stage during the Super Bowl and I’m certain that any purveyor of the pigskin will find it hard to not put down those hot wings for a few to catch all of the Bootylicious action when Bey takes the stage. So, with all of the suspense, excitement and anticipation surrounding this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, it begs the question “What songs will Beyonce perform?” Well, one thing is for sure, no matter which songs from her endless barrage of hits makes the cut, there’s no denying the fact that Beyonce will put on an AHmazing show!

Here’s a rundown of how I think Beyonce will rock the house on Super Bowl Sunday.

Beyonce’s voice is heard over the stadium silence demanding to “Turn the lights off.” The lights immediately go dim transforming the Superdome to pitch black. Complete silence is quickly interrupted by a roaring cheer as spectators realize that the moment of truth is now upon them. Eager eyes are immediately drawn to their TV screens as a mashup of reverbed dialog of Beyonce-inspired cutaways grabs the attention of anxious onlookers. Lights go down once again as the break to Countdown commences… “10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1”. Beyonce rises from the depths of the stage floor wearing a sassy yet seductive and sparkly outfit as she channels the bravado of her alter ego Sasha Fierce. She patiently surveys the crowd as if she’s searching for you, yes YOU, with your mouth now agape, to put down the salsa and chips and pay close attention because “@BaddieBey” is NOW at center stage. Ring The Alarm sirens commence ending in an eruptive BOOM. The stage has now been set as Bey’s “Boom Kat” squad stands at the ready to deliver THE most hip popping, mouth dropping, and heart stopping show the world has ever witnessed. The volume of the crowd is now at fevers pitch as the music breaks into the cadence to Diva. “Stop the track, Let me state facts…”,well,she DID tell us to give her a minute and she’d be right back, (hmmm… as if she ever left!) Now that Bey has solidified the fact that she IS THE #1 DIVA in music it’s time to get down to business. She pauses for a brief second as the horn solo commences to Crazy In Love. Let’s pause for a brief moment to reflect on what is about to commence… Listen; if you thought Jay-Z wasn’t going to be a willing accomplice to the Super Bowl Takeover, well you just may need to Upgrade your thinking because a Hov cameo is a definite MUST for a performance of this scale. So, as Jay-Z delivers his stadium worthy verse and exits much to the audience’s dismay Beyonce asks the crowd the most poignant question of the night Who Run The World?, and waits for their expected response… Girls (of course)! The crowd is thrust into yet another of her most celebrated hits. No “Bey Bowl” bonanza would be complete without a shout out to all the Single Ladies’ in the house. So as all ladies respond in unison, fiercely melodic violin strums send the crowd into a frenzy of what is inevitably about to take place. Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland join Bey center stage for their Destiny’s Child mega hit and uplifting chant of female empowerment, Survivor. Fans, if you’re expecting a mashup of Destiny’s Child hits, don’t expect too much of that since their impending reunion will satisfy your taste for any Destiny’s Child goodies.

Now that Beyonce has delivered the greatest Super Bowl performance “of all time” (in my best Kanye West voice), all doubters and disbelievers must now bow at Queen Bey’s thrown, and do but one thing… Say Her Name and say it loud! That’s Beyonce; with a capitol “BEYONCE”.
