Master Holiday Tablescapes Like a Pro

Fashionably brought to you by Simon Malls

Fellow Style Mavens!

Yes, it's that time of year we have all been waiting for as Christmas is drawing ever closer. It's a time of traditions, family, and friends gathering together from across the country or even from across the oceans. It's that all-important time when we want to decorate and accessorize our homes and our holiday tables to welcome everyone.

I've always thought that a well decorated table or fireplace mantle was a task far beyond my styling talents, but with a recent visit to Pottery Barn at The Fashion Mall at Keystone, I realized that I too can easily have a gorgeous magazine-worthy holiday tablescape!

You'll see in the images below that each of these traditional, non-traditional, and fun themes can be found in-store at Pottery Barn and if you missed the WTHR segment, you can see it here.

The "Traditional" setting above will be a favorite with younger ones and adults alike. Everyone will enjoy discovering the little quirks hidden in the plate design and will remember year after year to look for their favorite character or scene. To me, this is a timeless setting. The red dinner plate will brighten up any table and the Santa's Sleigh Salt and Pepper shaker is a fun conversation piece. A gold charger brings in a little glamor and the check napkin a little whimsy, yet this setting remains very much traditional.

This "Non-Traditional" setting above was my personal favorite for the holiday, lending a little cabin feel with the fur place mat and reindeer side plate. It ensures your guests will feel so chic this Christmas. The pop of red with the water glasses and napkin, along with the silver charger, give this setting a festive spirit. The deer salt and pepper shakers are a great way to add decoration to your table without adding unnecessary clutter.

The above setting was the most "fun" setting of those I styled. Santa is the jolliest and also one of the most famous symbols of Christmas. The happy old gentleman with his rolling belly and barreling laugh brings a smile to everyone's face, and so will this table setting. The sock napkin ring was my favorite addition, keeping with the more casual feel of this setting, which would be perfect for a Christmas brunch or casual family dinner.

With Christmas Eve just a short time away, now is the perfect time to stop by Pottery Barn at The Fashion Mall at Keystone and pick up everything you need for a fabulously decorated table. Your family and friends will be more than impressed by not only your cooking, but your decorating skills as well!

Happy shopping and a cheery Christmas!

bisous bisous,

Bronte xx
