Bikers Meet Botanicals: Kiehl’s Hosts Charity Event For HIV/AIDS Research

Kiehl's Since 1851

Kiehl’s, world renown for their premium skin, hair, body care and beauty essentials, hosted their annual LifeRide for amfAR charity event to a packed house at Lenox Square in Atlanta. Commemorating its third year, LifeRide is an annual charity motorcycle ride that helps to raise funds for amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research). This nine-day 1,800 mile journey from Miami, FL to Washington D.C. features a mixture of motorcycle enthusiasts and celebrity riders who “rev up” their Harley’s in support of this amazing endeavor. LifeRide combines Kiehl’s longtime love of motorcycles and spirit of adventure with the company’s philanthropic efforts to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS as well as furthering the research in combating this disease.

At each stop along the way Kiehl’s made donations totaling $90,000 and raised a whopping $115,000 towards amfAR and HIV/AIDS awareness efforts.

At the Atlanta stop, Collective Soul’s Ed Roland was in the house to welcome guests as the riders rolled into Kiehl’s Lenox Square location for a meet and greet before continuing on their eight stop route. Guests mixed, mingled, shopped, and seized photo ops with the riders while enjoying complimentary facials and Southern-inspired nibbles from Watershed on Peachtree’s Chef Joe Truex.

In celebration of the ride, Kiehl’s introduced a Limited Edition Active Lifestyle Essentials Kit ($74) which contains an assortment of Kiehl’s signature products for active customers. And in keeping with Kiehl’s long history of philanthropic efforts, the retailer is offering its patrons a chance to join the fight against HIV/AIDS by donating $25,000 from sales of their Active Lifestyle Essentials Kit to benefit amfAR. How fab is that!!! The Limited Edition Active Lifestyle Essentials Kit is available at Kiehl’s stores nationwide.

HIV/AIDS does affect us all, and I encourage everyone to support organizations like amfAR in their efforts to not only bring awareness to this life-threatening disease, but to eradicate it altogether.
