If you take a look at my bathroom vanity, you’d understand just how much of a beauty snob I really am. 🙂 I absolutely swoon over spa and skincare stuff… obsessively! So when I heard that Face & Body® was hosting it’s inaugural Southeast Conference/Expo here in Atlanta, I was super excited!!! Face & Body® has been bringing the beauty for more than 20 years in cities like San Jose and Chicago, so it’s great that they recognized Atlanta as the fabulous beauty hub it is. There’s no doubt that our area is home to a large number of beauty pros, so I was so happy to see that Skin Inc. magazine and Allured Business Media (those behind the event) were able to see the “beauty” in our city. 😉 So, you must be wondering…
What Was Face & Body® Southeast All About?
Held at Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA, the Face & Body® Southeast Conference/Expo was a 3-day event which aimed to educate both aspiring and professional skincare, spa, and wellness specialists about the esthetician and medical wellness industries through informative seminars, networking opportunities, and a fab showcase expo featuring lots of cutting-edge products.
Day 1, the conference portion, was full of engaging educational insight through 55 Advanced Education Conference classes such as Acne Management & Extraction; Ethnicity and Pigmentation; Essential Oils for Better Health; Natural Cosmeceuticals: and GMOs. The conference also featured a lineup of wonderful speakers including the event’s keynote Alison O’Neil, a career medical esthetician, aesthetic rehabilitation professional and founder of nonprofit Beauty Becomes You, which focuses on providing positive beauty and personal services experiences for seniors with limited access and incomes.
Days 2 & 3, were all about the expo where 503 exhibitors from 95 companies ranging from international beauty leaders to indie trendsetters, showcased their best beauty brands to over 1,628 spa professionals and industry suppliers. Exhibiting brands included Aroma Wrap, Bio France Lab, Eminence Organic Skincare, HydraFacial MD, Institut’ DERMed Clinical Skin Care, LightStim, Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare, Premier Dead Sea, Revitalash and Société Clinical Skincare just to name a few. Attendees enjoyed lots of pampering sessions and fab demos featuring the latest products, ingredients, and treatments in beauty and skincare.
I had the opportunity to enjoy the pampering firsthand as part of the F.A.B Force where I and several other beauty influencers live-streamed our experiences on social media during the event. We had such a great time interacting with all of the exhibitors and sponsors, and of course, taking in
a few lots of makeup, spa, skincare, and massage demos. You name it, we tried it! Did I over indulge, you ask? Well, let’s just say I met my quota for hand massages for the next year (or three). 😛
The Beauty Event of the Year
If you’re one of the many beauty lovers in Atlanta (or surrounding area) that’s either looking to pursue a career in the industry or simply a big fan of beauty, you won’t want to miss next year’s conference and expo. You’ll learn so much valuable info and even get to take part in the expo where you can network with exhibitors, demo products, and truly become a beauty insider.
Since the southeast’s very first Face & Body® Conference/Expo was as fabulous as it was, I can’t wait to attend next years event happening again on October 7-9, 2017 right back here in Atlanta! I’m sure Face & Body® will bring the beauty even better than before. Oh, and if you wanna know where to find me at next years expo… I’ll be making my rounds over at the massage pavilion, and the spa pavilion, and the makeup…… 😉
